Description
This is one of two identical hand painted ceramic eggs called, the Eastern Church. The first egg is part of a collection at Holy Transfiguration Church in Warrenville, Illinois. The second egg is part of a private collection. Rich in detail, the hand painting of eggs is a Russian and Ukrainian tradition known as Pysanki or Pysanky. This is the back side of the egg.
